Crowder School Announces Website

Crowder Public School has a new website – www.crowder.k12.ok.us.  The site provides information for parents, students and the community about the Crowder School and its programs.  The school’s vocational business class updates the site each week.

Crowder Senior Citizens Center

Crowder Senior Citizens Center is open to the public on Wednesdays and provides a nutritious meal at 12:00 noon. The suggested donation for the meal is $ 3.50. An Outreach / Transportation Program is operated from the Crowder Senior Citizens Center. Mary Trolinger with the OREC Program is available to take area Senior Citizens to the doctor or help them get groceries or medicines. Indianola Senior Citizens Center

Indianola Senior Citizens is open to the public, offering a nutritious meal Monday through Friday at 11:30 a.m. On Monday, Tuesday & Friday the cost for lunch is $ 2.00. On Wednesday & Thursday the cost for lunch is $3.00 or, you can purchase a weekly meal ticket for $ 10.00. Following is a list of monthly activities:

• Daily - Public television, compliments of Lakeland Cable Company, fellowship & games such as dominoes, checkers, etc.

• 1st Thursday - Gospel singing at 10:00 a.m., lunch at 11:30, blood pressure check.

• 2nd Thursday - Lunch at 11:30, celebrate birthdays for the month with cake and ice cream, birthday folks eat free.

• 3rd Thursday - Blood pressure check, blood sugar level check, lunch at 11:30.

• 4th Thursday - Pittsburg County Health Dept. available at the center for blood pressure checks, lunch at 11:30.

• 2nd Friday - Lunch at 11:30, celebrate birthdays for the month with cake and ice cream, birthday folks eat free.

Indianola Senior Citizens Center is available by contract agreement for family reunions and other family gatherings. Also, we do in-house catering for wedding receptions, graduation banquets, class reunions, religious get-togethers and a variety of other family or community oriented activities.
